  1. Introduction
    1. John 16:33 (NLT) “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
    2. John 17:1-5 (NLT) 1After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.2For you have given him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.3And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.4I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.5Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.”
    3. “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.

If we were able to extract from any man a complete answer to the question, ‘What comes into your mind when you think about God?’, we would then be able to predict, with certainty, the spiritual future of that man.” (A.W. Tozer)

    4. Matthew 6:9 (NAS) “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.’”
    5. Galatians 4:6 (NAS) Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”
    6. Romans 8:15 (NAS) For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
    7. John 17:3 (NAS) “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
    8. “The ultimate object of salvation is not merely to keep us from Hell - - not merely to deliver us from certain sins. The ultimate object of salvation is that we may enjoy ‘adoption,’ and we may become ‘children of God,’ and ‘joint heirs with Christ.’” (Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones)
    9. John 17:5 (NLT) “Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.”
    10. Philippians 4:6-7 (NAS) 6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
