Worship, Nearing the Heart of God

We talk about worship all the time in church and we practice it each weekend, but what is worship really all about? Why do we do it? What purpose and place does it have in our lives as followers of Jesus? In the first small group study in the Kingdom Living series, you will explore the answers to these questions and many more through looking at these topics:

  • Settling the Issue of Lordship
  • Experiencing God in Worship
  • Gaining a God-Perspective
  • Developing Our Character
  • Overcoming Obstacles to Worship
  • Worship through Advancing God's Kingdom

Throughout these six sessions, you'll learn why worship plays such an integral role in God's Kingdom -- and you'll learn it together through studying God's Word and sharing your insights with each other.

Six Habits of Highly Effective Christians

Simply going to church and adhering to a list of "dos" and "don'ts" is a far cry from the life God intends for us to have as Christians. He wants us to change the world around us, which begins by understanding the power of a deep relationship with Him. In the second small group study in the Kingdom Living series, you will explore ways to deepen your relationship with God and become a more effective Christian, exploring the following disciplines:

  • Knowing the Bible
  • Making Prayer a Priority
  • Living a Life of Obedience
  • Giving to God
  • Living in Community
  • Serving Others

Throughout these six sessions, you'll learn secrets of effective Christians, how it has revolutionized their faith, and how it can revolutionize yours, too.

The Character of God, Understanding His Heart for Us

Character – Knowing God makes all the difference in how we navigate our daily lives. Not knowing about God, but really knowing God as we know a friend and understanding the depth and nature of His character. As we begin to understand God’s character, we understand His heart for us – and it empowers us to be more like Christ.

In this small group study, you will explore more deeply the ways of God and delve into the depth of His character, studying these six topics:

  • The Sovereignity of God
  • God’s Unchanging Character
  • God’s Amazing Grace
  • The Trustworthiness of God
  • The Nearness of God
  • God’s Unending Love

Throughout these six sessions, you’ll learn more about God’s character and how truly knowing Him will change your relationship with Him forever!

Welcome to Community, Experiencing Life the Way God Intended

Community – What was God’s design for community? When Jesus established the first “church” there were no stained glass windows, pews or organs. As challenging as it would be to unite such a diverse group into a purpose-filled family, Jesus knew it was His Heavenly Father’s desire. It would take sacrificial love, time and commitment on everyone’s part.

God designed us to need each other, and He created a plan to meet that need – it’s called the church. Discover what being part of community God’s way is all about as you explore these six components of community living:

  • The Family of Believers
  • Why Community is Good
  • Love One Another
  • Learning to Forgive
  • Cultivating Spiritual Growth
  • What’s My Part

If you can't make your way to the VCNP Sacred Grounds Bookstore, you can order online and have them shipped to you, wherever you are.
