Vineyard Church North Phoenix | VCNP New Building Groundbreaking Ceremony

transforming ordinary people into extraordinary followers of christ

VCNP New Building Groundbreaking Ceremony

Vineyard Church of North Phoenix had a wonderful Ground-breaking ceremony on Sunday, 10 December 2007! Ed Beasley, the City Manager for the City of Glendale, was there and shared some very kind words with us about our church. It’s so nice to partner with our City to be a blessing to our City, rather than being at odds with our City over issues of relatively non-importance! The City of Glendale really appreciates the way we reach out and bless our community in ways they never could!

“We are very excited about this project,” said senior pastor Brian T. Anderson. “We have spent a lot of time working with the City of Glendale to make sure this project will benefit both our church family and the community.”

The new 2,150 seat auditorium will feature a coffee bar, a bookstore and a large foyer all designed to create a comfortable, inviting environment for both church members and guests.

The new compassion center will expand the ability of Vineyard Church of North Phoenix to reach out to the community. Since 2002 the Vineyard Food Bank has given out over 151,000 bags of food to over 25,000 households. This year the Vineyard supplied over 500 needy families with Turkey dinners for Thanksgiving. “Currently we are limited to how much help we can give by the space we have available,” said Mario Fernandez, who oversees the church’s compassion ministries. “This new compassion center will allow us to reach out to many more people in our community. The perception is that we serve mostly homeless people, the truth is very, very few of the people who come to us for help are homeless, but are people from our community who just need a helping hand.”

A 10,000 square foot children’s wing is also being added, reflecting the church’s value for families and children.
