Receiving Prayer

VCNP offers several ways for those in need to receive prayer.

The first and most effective way is through attending one of the many small groups that meet at various times of the week and places throughout the valley. Most of these groups offer a specific time during their meeting when they pray for the needs of any in the group. Chances are you can find a small group near you on the day and time of your liking. More information is also available from small group flyers in the church lobby or in the downloadable catalog.

Additionally, after every regularly scheduled weekend service, we offer personal prayer for anyone who has a need. An invitation is made at the conclusion of each service to those who are interested in receiving prayer. A trained team is available to pray with you for your specific request.

You may also submit prayer requests using the "Comments" section of the information form in the church bulletin. Names are optional, but please include pertinent dates and other details.

For prayer requests during an emergency, call the church office at (623) 934-4000. Between 8:00am & 5:00pm we will immediately get your request to those who can best pray for your need. If you call outside those hours, please leave a message and we will pass on your request as soon as we are in.

We would also like updates of the situation, including the outcome . Please call us with pertinent developments.

Note: posting prayer requests as comments is public information. Please omit any confidential details.

Please pray for me, Cynthia Sahhar, as I am going through a divorce. On Sept.28th I have to meet with the lawyers for our first Deposition. This is where we come together with both lawyers and try to come to some agreements on how assests should be divided. Please pray that the truth is revealed on that day, and that the Lord's justice prevails. That all demonic influence and greed is bound and silenced and only the truth is told. Pray also that I am given God's favor in this matter and the entire room is filled with HIS peace and presence.

Please pray for Leyloni, a nine-year-old girl, who may be diagnosed with lukemia. They ran a test yesterday and are testing her bone marrow today. Her mother, Heather, is a single mother of two. The family needs all the love and prayers they can get. They live in Tucson and are extremely close family friends of my Aunt Becky. My Aunt asked if I would submit a prayer request and I didn't hesitate.

Love and Blessings,

Laura Engelking

My sister, Janet (45 yrs) has been struggling with Cancer of the Uterus

(stage 3 to 4). She has been through several Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments.

She has been in the hospital now for 4 weeks due to swelling of her stomach and not

being able to eat (keep anything down). We just found out on Monday that they found

more cancer in her stomach and the doctor says she only has 6 months to live.

Janet is an RN and the single parent and provider for her 2 sons, Josh 16 yrs & Jake 12 yrs.

Please pray that God will completely restore her and that she will accept him as her Lord & Savior.

I believe that God can miraculously heal her and save her life. Thank you for your time.

Please pray for me that God will guide me and give me strength to go through this financial problem I have. I am selling my house to obtain some money to pay my debts and I keep worrying that the longer it sits in the market, it's another month that I have to agonize about the mortgage payment. I don't have much money left to keep this house and I've already used up my savings. I am asking God for His guidance as he has done for me several times in the past.

Please ad to your prayer list the name of my Granddaughter to be. My son and his wife just found out that the baby (ETA 6/25/08)has a serious stomach-intestine malformation that has a mass growing onto her kidneys. She will require surgery within an hour of her birth and may have to be born C-section early. Please add Heather and Brooke Ryanne Bushee to your prayer list for one of Our Lord's Healing Miracles.

Thank you for you prayers

My wife and I are separated and in her will we are heading for a divorce, I filed the divorce so as be able to control the pace of the case, in which I have frozen the process and am able to keep it that way for months to come. I have committed myself to allow god to break me down and rebuild me to the husband, father and friend he would have me be, please pray that the Lord would work on her heart and in him, she would allow herself to see me as a true child of the lord, wanting only to give her the love he is overflowing in me. Pray for Heidi's heart and that her Mother and two secular friends she seeks counsel from would be removed from having influence in her life, and that she would recognize that that they are using her and taking advantage of the situation and causing things to seem worse than they really are or where, to keep distance between us and control of her for their selfish motives. And as I do, please also pray for these three ladies; Shirley (mom), Brenda (life long friend who moved in right after I was thrown out cause she needed a free place to live after her 2nd divorce), and Mandy (friend\employer who was divorcing and convinced her they would do it together, has since gone back to her husband, but even though she only pays my wife for 25 hrs a week, as a "friend" has her work 40 - 50 hours and keep her kids most week-ends) there are a lot of outside influences that in gods time, will be wiped away, I pray for patience for me in the process and focus on what the lord is doing in me. Heidi and I have been together for 16 years, married for 15 and have three great boys (15, 9 & 7). Please pray for her heart and a hedge of protection from earthly input and influence.

Please pray for my good friend Terri and her husband Darren. He is in his mid 40's and has been undergoing tests for months trying to determine what is causing his memory loss and different behavior. They have so far determined that he has abnormalities in the front temporal lobe of the brain. Please pray for it not to be Front Temporal Dementia or Picks Disease, as both have no known cure. These friends of mine have been together since high school. They are each others best friend and greatest love. Darren is one of the smartest men I know. Terri, one of the strongest women. They are both in such confusion, pain and anger. Please pray that the Lord will shine some light upon their situation. That He will have a strong presence in their days to come..to bring comfort. Please pray no matter what the outcome that they will continue to be strong in their fight against this and strong in their relationship. It is the most difficult year of these wonderful peoples lives. Please pray hard for God to bring them peace and the doctors the wisdom to heal him.My sincerest thanks.
