  1. Introduction
    1. Rev. 22:7-21 (NLT) 7“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.”8I, John, am the one who heard and saw all these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me.9But he said, “No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!”10Then he instructed me, “Do not seal up the prophetic words in this book, for the time is near.11Let the one who is doing harm continue to do harm; let the one who is vile continue to be vile; let the one who is righteous continue to live righteously; let the one who is holy continue to be holy.”12“Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds.13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”14Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.15Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.16“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star.”17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.18And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book.19And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.20He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!21May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.
    2. Matt. 24:30 (NLT) And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
  2. Some of My “Hopes”
    1. I hope your devotion to the Church deepens.
    2. I hope your devotion for worship deepens.
      1. Rev. 22:8-9 (NLT) 8I, John, am the one who heard and saw all these things. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!”
      2. John 10:10 (NAS) “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
      3. Titles for God from the Book of Revelation:
        1. He was dead, and behold, He is now alive forever and ever.
        2. He’s the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega. The One Who Was, and Is, and Is to Come.
        3. He holds the Keys of Death and Hades.
        4. He is the One Who sits on the Throne.
        5. He is the One Who rides the White Horse, Whose Name is Faithful and True.
        6. He’s the One Who judges the living and the dead - - the great and the small.
        7. He’s the Lord Almighty, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and the King of the Ages.
        8. He’s the Lamp that Lights up Heaven.
        9. He’s the Bridegroom that rejoices in His Bride.
        10. He is the Comforter Who will wipe away every tear.
        11. He is the Destroyer of death.
        12. He is the Jailer of Satan.
        13. He is the Lion of Judah.
        14. He is the Bright Morning Star.
        15. He is Worthy to take the Scroll and open its seals because He was slain.
        16. With His blood He purchased for God people from every tribe, and every tongue, and every people, and every nation.
    3. I hope you will take the coming judgment with greater seriousness.
      1. Rev. 22:14-15 (NLT) 14Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.15Outside the city are the dogs—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.
    4. I hope you have a deeper devotion to God’s Word .
      1. Rev. 22:7 (NLT) “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.”
      2. Rev. 22:14 (NLT) “Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.”
      3. Eph. 5:25-26 (NAS) 25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,26so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
      4. Rom. 12:2 (NAS) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
      5. Rev. 22:20 (NLT) “Yes, I am coming soon!”
