VCNP Leadership Monthly for May 2009
May, 2009

Greetings!
I want to thank you again for inviting your friends, neighbors, co-workers and loved ones to our Easter services! As I told you the weekend after Easter, we had the highest attendance we have ever had in our current building that weekend! We had about 5,200 people for Easter! Great job inviting people! It certainly was an exciting weekend with so many people here. Please pray that many of them will come back in the coming weeks.
I also want to let you know that this coming weekend (May 2-3) we will be officially opening our new Children's Ministry building! Since almost all of our Children's Ministry classroom locations will be changing this weekend, please make sure that you look at the information you have received (you would have received this information only if you are a parent of children in our Children's Ministry) regarding which rooms your children will now be going to for their class. You may even want to arrive early this weekend to make sure you get your kids to the appropriate rooms on time.
What makes this even a little more crazy is we will also be "graduating" children up to their next year's classroom the first weekend in June, which is only 4 weeks away! So, most of our kids will be changing rooms again, after only 4 weeks in these new rooms! What timing!
Anyway, please bear with us as we try to make sure all of our kids are in the correct rooms and receiving the ministry they deserve! Thank you for your patience and flexibility! Our Children's Ministry team has been working diligently on this transition. Please thank them as you see them for their hard work to impact our children.
On a different note, all of our pastoral staff, and some of our leaders, will be attending the Vineyard National Pastors and Leaders Conference in Galveston, Texas which begins on Monday, May 4th! These conferences are always really great, and a wonderful time together as a church family across the Nation! Thora and I, along with our kids, are really looking forward to it!
Please pray for all of our pastoral staff that we would really meet with God while we are there, and receive everything God wants us to receive there, along with ministering to those God is wanting us to minister to.
Thora and I are both teaching separate workshops while we are there, so please pray that God will use us in that way as well.
On another note, if you know people who have not been water baptized yet, but are Followers of Jesus, please encourage them to sign up for our Water Baptism at Glendale Community College that is coming up on Memorial Day (May 25th). I hope you, as a leader at VCNP, will also plan on attending. It always really encourages those being baptized when the leaders of our church are there to "cheer them on" as they obey Jesus in water baptism!
Thanks again for all you do! You are truly making a Kingdom difference with your life! See you this weekend!
Love,
Brian
