  1. Jesus and the Kingdom
    1. The Kingdom of God was Jesus' message. Luke 4:43
    2. With Jesus, the KOG had arrived.
    3. The words and works of Jesus united to define the Kingdom.
    4. Jesus brought the future rule of God into the present.
    5. We live between the times: the inauguration and consummation of the Kingdom.
    6. World War II illustration: D-day v. V-day
  2. The Now and the Not Yet
    1. Evidences in Scripture:
      1. Matt. 12:28
      2. I Cor. 15:20-28
      3. I John 3:2
    2. Living in the in-between can leave room for doubt to be birthed; doubt leads to unbelief.
    3. This in-between life is part of the divine mystery we are part of and with that mystery is the tension of not being in control. John 5:19
    4. Yet, we are called to be faithful and live in the "in-between".
    5. Signs of Unbelief:
      1. Fear of Risking
      2. Skepticism
      3. Fear of sharing your testimony

I loved having John Hernandez at our church, but more importantly I LOVED that we were actually DOING the things of the kindom and actually practicing the "Everyone gets to play" part of the Vineyard Values. I hope there is much more like this to come! :)
