1. Jesus came to ease the misconceptions about God.
1. John 18:37 (NCV) “This is why I was born and came into the world: to tell people the truth. And everyone who belongs to the truth listens to me.”
2. John 1:18 (NIV) No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
3. Luke 2:32 (NLT) “He is a light to reveal God to the nations.”
4. John 14:9 (NIV) "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”
2. Jesus came to express the love of God.
1. I John 4:9-10 (NLT) ⁹God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.¹⁰This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
3. Jesus came to enable us to have a relationship with God.
1. Ephesians 1:5a (NLT) God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.
2. Romans 5:11 (NLT) So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

4. Psalm 34:18 (NAS) The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
