Jody has been a member of Vineyard North Phoenix since 1985. She joined the staff as Children's Pastor in 1991. Jody and her husband Bud have a daughter, Jennifer and two sons, Bryan and Eric.

Where were you born?
Elkhorn, Wisconsin - I am a cheese baby!

Who is in your immediate family and what one word would you use to describe each of them?
Bud - devoted
Jennifer - kind-hearted & spouse, Michael - fun-loving
Bryan - trustworthy & spouse, Cari - creative
Eric - original

Who was the most influential person in your life?
My 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Spelais

What's your favorite...
- I like cheesy movies about sharks or dinosaurs! Godzilla with Matthew Broderick was great!
TV Show?- I like all the shows on Food Network & just started watching The Voice
Music/Band?- I like 70's music, country & anything on KLUV

What book do you think everyone should read?
"A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23" by Phillip Keller

Where is the most interesting place you've traveled to?
Lost Coast Highway in northern California

If you had to move to another country, where would you go and why?
Australia! It's beautiful, civilized and they take month long "holidays"

What do you want to be when you grow up?
A loved, adored and retired Grandmother

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Piddle around in my garden, have coffee with a friend, or go camping. It depends on how much spare time I have.

If you could go back in time when you were 15 yrs old, what advice would you give yourself?
Hang in there, this is not who God has created you to be, it will get much better.

What do you want written on your tombstone?
She loved and was deeply loved by her family.

If you could sit & talk with anyone who has ever lived, besides Jesus, who would it be?
The REAL Laura Ingalls Wilder. I am fascinated by that time period and what it would have been like to be a woman, raise a family, and trust God when life was so much slower paced, and yet so much more difficult!

What is your best memory of childhood?
Ice skating on the pond in the winter.

Who is the most interesting person you've ever met?
My Dad. I never grow tired of hearing about his experiences growing up on a farm or being in the Marines as a young man and being overseas.

If you could have any super-power what would you choose & what would your Superhero name be?
I would choose the super-power to be able to stop time in order to take a week's vacation in only one hour! My Superhero name would be "The Vacationer!" I would then get to live my dream of traveling the world!

What is your nickname, or if you don't have one what would you want it to be?
I don't have one now, but I have had two growing up; Butch (after a Pekinese dog) and Buttons (cute as a button at 8 years old). I prefer Buttons.

Are you an Introvert or Extrovert?
An introvert during the week and an extrovert on the weekend.
