Team: Administrative Staff

This full time role includes running the print shop, preparing high-volume printed materials, and providing administrative support to the pastoral staff and church office.
Qualifications

- Aptitude for and familiarity with computer tasking and office equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Friendly, people-oriented, poised, organized
- Sensitive to deadlines, urgent matters, and confidential information
- Willing and cooperative spirit, servant attitude, sensitive to pastoral staff and ministry needs
Responsibilities
- Photocopy various materials such as books, flyers, memos, and other miscellaneous ministry material
- Print (high-volume commercial printer) various color materials such as brochures, cards, name tags, name badges, baptism certificates, booklets, signage, and small group flyers
- Fold (use folding machine for) brochures, cards, and letters
- Cut (use commercial cutter or paper trimmer for) cutting jobs
- Create/Design/Type low end to medium graphics and word-processing documents such as signs, name tags, buttons, flyers, lists, and cards
- Maintain and troubleshoot office equipment (high-volume commercial printer, folding machine, cutter, laminator, saddle-stitcher, digital press, comber) for basic smooth running of operations. Call for tech maintenance when necessary. Inform office manager of equipment or tech support issues and concerns beyond basic maintenance
- Provide backup support for front office administration (i.e. answer phones, greet walk-ins)
- Prepare mailings of letters, statements, cards, by hand-folding, stuffing, and postage-meter stamping
- Laminate signs, name badges, and cards
- Coordinate office volunteers to ensure that appropriate volunteers are available at times when they are needed
- Provide pastoral administrative support in the form of word processing: letter creation/
rewriting/reformatting and typing sermon/teaching notes - Provide ministry administrative support in the form of word processing, forms design, mid-level desktop publishing, and manual publication
- Order/maintain/log paper supplies for print shop
- Maintain a “whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude
- Any other task assigned by the Office Manager
Training
- On-the-job training is available along with cross training other admin staff and various classes, as needed
This role reports directly to the Office Manager.
