Spiritual formation is the process of transforming a person’s heart in such a way that their actions and character mature from the inside out, overflowing with love, joy, and peace.
Over the centuries followers of Jesus have found certain practices of regular prayer and rhythms of life have helped form their inner life with God.
We are working to create a path for spiritual formation that is open to everyone, easy to follow, and meets the hunger of those who want to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
We all are on a spiritual journey and desire to be transformed. But often we can feel like we don’t know the way or we get stuck somewhere along the road.
Journey will provide a foundation of both the theology of spiritual formation and actual practices (e.g. prayer of Examen, sabbath, fasting, journaling, building regular rhythms of prayer, and more).
It’s perfect for both new believers looking to set a firm foundation for their spiritual life as well as people who have been Christians for a long time looking to “go deeper” in their faith.
Journey will begin May 11, and meet Tuesday nights through July 27, at 6:30 to 8 PM in the High School Auditorium (except first Tues of each month).
