Counseling at the Vineyard

Pastoral wisdom & guidance in resolving issues & healing.

Counseling at VC is based on the idea of one person assisting another person who is seeking God’s grace, insight, and intervention in life’s difficulties.

Our counseling is done by pastoral staff and lay persons who rely on their knowledge of scripture and wisdom / guidance from the Holy Spirit. We are not licensed medical providers. Our program is designed to be augmented by your regular church attendance, consistent participation in a small group, and sometimes recommending professional clinical counseling outside of VC.

We believe much healing can come through support and encouragement from having Christian community around you.

How does it work?

Counseling at VC is free for members and usually consists of a maximum of 6–8 50 minute sessions. You can initiate counseling at the Information Center on a weekend or fill out the Counseling Questionnaire below.

We cannot counsel children at this time due to the unique challenges and training required to do this effectively.

We can recommend qualified counselors and Christian mental health professionals outside of VC if that seems the best fit for you.

Premarital Counseling

We also offer premarital counseling and use Prepare/Enrich Inventories designed by Life Innovations to assist counselors and couples in focusing objectively on critical relationship issues.

Although premarital counseling is free, there is a $35 charge to cover the cost of Prepare/Enrich inventory assessment. There are usually six sessions.

Premarital counseling should be completed one month prior to the wedding date. Submit the Premarital Questionnaire below to get started.

If you are interested in planning a wedding at VC or having a VC Pastor officiate your ceremony, please visit our Getting Married @ VC page.
